This is for intermediate level paddlers wishing to learn marathon techniques in technical waters. Session location depends upon water levels. The Thames River from the Meatherall bridge just west of Ingersoll to Putnam bridge is one of the most challenging rivers in south western Ontario. That is where most sessions will take place. From the 401 take the Putnam cut off and go north to the stop sign in the village. Then turn right (or east) and drive four kilometers on Hamilton Road. The next road on the left is Meatherall. The bridge is 100 meters from Hamilton Road. The start time in the two summer months is 7:30. The time in the spring and fall is 8 AM. Most sessions will last two hours.
Participants must be full members of OMCKRA. For more information please contact Coach Bob - email@example.com

The following coaches are NCCP trained Marathon coaches in Ontario. Contact them directly or email email@example.com for coaching.
In order for NCCP coaches to maintain their certified status, they will be required to obtain Professional Development (PD) points. PD points can be earned through a multitude of activities that coaches already participate in, including: national and provincial sport organization conferences and workshops, eLearning modules, NCCP workshops, coach mentorship programs, and active coaching. In most cases coaches are already earning their required PD points -- Maintenance of Certification Status is simply the introduction of tracking these points and recognizing coaches for their efforts.
Log into the Locker for an up-to-date record of your PD points. For examples of opportunities to accumulate PD points, check out the link to the NCCP page.

The start time for each paddle will be 6pm and each session will take up to 2 hours. Mondays will focus on technique and Wednesday will focus on building speed (tempo and time trials).
Participants must be full members of OMCKRA. A couple of weekend clinics may be organized at different locations if there is enough interest. For more information please contact Coach Chris - firstname.lastname@example.org.
